What's this story about?
In today's adventure, the magic took the children and Floppy to a wood. There Floppy was caught by a nasty dragon. Biff, Chip and Kipper tried hard to help him. Would Floppy be saved? Let's begin today's story.

Look through the pictures. Ask: 'Where does the story mainly take place?' and 'Why does Floppy look frightened?'

Page 6, remind the child how it is that the children in the story get taken on an adventure, i.e. when someone picks up the magic key.

The book was about a dragon.

Kipper couldn't read the story.

Biff didn't want to read it.
She didn't like dragons.

Kipper went into Chip's room.
Chip read the story.
“I like dragons," said Chip.

Something was glowing.

It was the magic key.

"Oh no!" said Chip.

Chip picked up the box.
He ran into Biff's room.

"The magic is working," he said.

Biff picked up the key.
They looked at the magic house.
"The door is open," said Biff.

The magic was working.

It took the children inside.
It took Floppy too.
它把孩子们带进了魔法房子。
Floppy也被带了进去。
It took them to a wood.

Floppy didn't like the wood.
Floppy不喜欢树林。
He was frightened.

Biff pulled Floppy.
Biff拉着Floppy。
"Come on," she said. "Don't be silly."
她说：“来吧，没问题的。”
An owl flew out of a tree.
Floppy didn't like the owl.
He ran away.
一只猫头鹰从树上飞了出来。
Floppy不喜欢猫头鹰。
他逃走了。
Floppy ran out of the wood.
Floppy跑出了树林。
"come back," called Biff.
"come back," called Chip.
Biff喊道：“快回来。”

It was no good.

Floppy ran and ran.
Floppy继续跑啊跑。
"Oh help!" said Biff.
Biff说：”天哪，谁来帮帮忙！“
The children looked for Floppy.
孩子们到处寻找Floppy。
They called and called.
"Floppy! Come back!" they called.
他们大声呼唤着：
”Floppy快回来！“
The children came to a tree.
孩子们来到了一棵树前。
It was called "The Dragon Tree".
这棵树的名字叫”龙树”。
A dragon lived under the tree.
有一条龙住在里面。
The dragon had Floppy.
那条龙抓住了Floppy。
He wanted Floppy for supper.
他要把 Floppy当晚餐吃掉。
Floppy was frightened.
Floppy非常害怕。
"Oh no!" said Biff. "What a nasty dragon! I don't like dragons!"
“哦不！”Biff说“真是一条恶龙！我不喜欢龙！”
Biff looked at the dragon's tail.
Biff看了看龙的尾巴。
She took off her belt.
她解开皮带。
She put it round the tail.
她将皮带绕在了龙的尾巴上。
Chip helped her.
Chip过来帮她。
Kipper went inside the tree.
Kipper走进了树里。
He pulled Floppy out.
他把Floppy拉了出来。
Chip helped him.
Chip也过来帮忙。
The dragon was cooking.
It didn't see them.
那条龙正在做饭，
他没有看到他们。
"Come on!" called Chip.
Chip 喊道：加油跑！"
They ran and ran.
他们跑啊跑啊。
The key was glowing.
魔法钥匙亮了。
"The key is glowing." called Biff.
"It's time to go home."
钥匙在发光。”Biff喊道。
“该回去啦！”
"What an adventure!" said Chip.
Chip说：“真是神奇的大冒险！
"I don't like dragons,"said Biff.
Biff说：”我不喜欢龙。“

A1: (Answers may vary) Kipper and Chip liked dragons before the adventure. I don' think they still liked dragons after the adventure, for the dragon wanted to eat Floppy.
大冒险前Kipper和Chip喜欢龙。我觉得大冒险后他们不会再喜欢龙了，因为它居然要吃Floppy。
Q2: Turn to page 3. Look at the picture on the back cover of Kipper's book. Then look at the cover of the book on page 24. Why is there a piece of tree tied to the dragon's tail now?
